Marcelo Peña is a lawyer who graduated from the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the National University of La Plata. He holds a postgraduate specialization in Criminal Law and a Master’s degree in Criminal Law and Criminalistics, both from Universidad Austral.

In the academic and institutional field, he served as Coordinator of the academic event of the Ibero-American Congress on Criminal Procedural Law, held at the La Plata Bar Association within the framework of its Institute of Criminal Procedural Law. He also served as Secretary of the Criminal Law Institute of the La Plata Bar Association.

In his professional practice, Marcelo has acted as defense counsel in more than 90 oral trials in the city of La Plata, before courts throughout the Province of Buenos Aires and before the National Courts. He also has more than ten years of experience in administrative proceedings and criminal defense matters related to Internal Affairs investigations within the Ministry of Security of the Province of Buenos Aires.
