Roberto Durrieu has extensive experience in complex human rights and international justice matters, including cases involving crimes against humanity, corruption, and transnational criminal activity. He has acted as legal counsel in proceedings before national and international jurisdictions, including matters before the Inter-American human rights system and the International Criminal Court, where he was appointed Counsel in 2010.

His practice has focused on accountability for serious violations, access to justice for victims, and the legal consequences of complex criminal conduct across jurisdictions. He has also worked extensively on matters involving money laundering, asset recovery, corruption, and financial crime, particularly where such conduct intersects with broader questions of institutional responsibility and international justice.

Roberto holds a DPhil in Law from the University of Oxford, a Doctorate in Juridical Science from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, and a Master’s degree in Comparative Criminal Law from Duke University. He earned his law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.

Alongside his professional practice, he has developed an extensive academic career. He has authored five books and more than 70 academic articles on criminal law, money laundering, corporate governance, and economic crime, and has taught postgraduate courses in criminal and constitutional law at institutions including the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, the University of Buenos Aires, and Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
